CONTRIBUTION OF THE 3P-INKINGI CLUB IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
The 3P-INKINGI Club contributes to improving students’ behavior and strengthening their psychosocial skills in the school environment. Through its interventions, the Club aims to promote mental health, resilience, and peaceful coexistence within educational institutions.
During the first term, the activities implemented within the various clubs focused on the following themes:
- Strengthening self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-assertion;
- Managing adolescence and promoting peaceful coexistence;
- Integration of new members, including a review of basic concepts and the institutional presentation of 3P-INKINGI (vision, mission, and objectives);
- Introduction to psychological first aid and basic psychosocial support;
- Management of psychological distress among students;
- Identification of psychological causes of academic failure and coping strategies.
The activities carried out during the reference period achieved the following results:
✔ Improved knowledge and psychosocial skills among participating students;
✔ Strengthened role of peer educators in the early identification and referral of students in situations of psychosocial vulnerability;
✔ Contribution to the improvement of the school climate and conflict prevention;
✔ Increased awareness of mental health in the school setting.
All these activities covered four (4) schools, each hosting a functional “3P-INKINGI” club, with a total of 187 students reached, including 112 girls and 75 boys . A total of 17 peer educators were trained and supported across the four functional clubs.
The 3P-INKINGI team is pleased with the progress recorded during the first term, particularly the active engagement of students and the growing role of peer educators in strengthening resilience and promoting mental health in schools. These results demonstrate the relevance of the approach and its potential for sustainability.
