7th Global Mental Health Summit - Cape Town, South Africa
The 7th Global Mental Health Summit was held at Cape Town City Hall (10 - 12 November 2025), a place filled with profound historical meaning. The summit brought together participants with diverse backgrounds : leaders, scientific experts, people with lived experience (PWLE), researchers, psychiatrists, psychologists, professors, and many others interested in the field of mental health.
3P INKINGI had the honor of being represented at this important event by its Leader and a Mental Health Leadership Programme Alumni #AMHLP, Pacifique NDUWIMANA, and have contributed to meaningful, on the ground impact during the Africa CDC symposium titled: "Advancing Africa CDC's Mental Health Agenda: From Strategy to Action".
The participation in this summit, deeply moved our team as People With Lived Experience. It reminded us of the difficult moments that human beings may go through: prison, betrayal, conflict, war, accidents, famine, disasters... experiences that can deeply affect one's mental health, yet do not define the end of one's story.
As Mandela showed, after twenty-seven years in prison, it is possible to rise again, to transform pain into strength, hardship into wisdom, and suffering into service. One day, each of us can overcome even the darkest moments and become a source of support, guidance, and hope for others.
